Walt Patterson is senior vice president for TRANSFIRST's Government Services Division (GSD). With more than 29 years of management experience and 17 years in the electronic funds transfer industry, he is responsible for building relationships with the public sector and leading the division, which provides processing solutions to municipalities and other government agencies.

Prior to joining TRANSFIRST, Mr. Patterson was senior vice president for Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., (ACS).

He has served as chairman and vice chairman of the Electronic Funds Transfer Association board of directors, as well as treasurer of the group and chairman of its EBT Industry Council. Mr. Patterson currently serves on the Board of the Southern Financial Partners, an Arkansas-based development bank. He also serves on the National Services Board of the Volunteers of America, a program Mr. Patterson has been involved in for more than 20 years, which directs its efforts to child welfare, elderly issues, homelessness, mental health and education.

Mr. Patterson has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and earned a graduate degree in banking from Southern Methodist University.
